President Trump plans military action on Syria after horrific nerve gas attack on civilians

In a very dramatic gesture, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley at the Security Council stands and displays picture of baby killed by nerve gas and excoriates Russia's ambassador for supporting al-Assad, saying, 'How many more children have to die before Russia cares?'

In a very dramatic gesture, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley at the Security Council stands and displays picture of baby killed by nerve gas and excoriates Russia’s ambassador for supporting al-Assad, saying, ‘How many more children have to die before Russia cares?’

President Donald Trump on Wednesday made it clear that he is planning some sort of action against Syria. Although he did not specify what kind of action, saying that he did not want to telegraph his plans, he did imply that military action is planned.

You mentioned yesterday about US helicopters dropping 55 gallon drums of sarin gas on video. Please post these propaganda videos please. I don’t believe a word of it. Also for you to think ISIS doesn’t have airplanes is ludicrous. Hell they have tanks and Humvees and control of airports, factories and bomb making facilities. Sounds like you are the one that is naive. Hell up until Russian and Trump ISIS basically controlled the entirety of Iraq.

Hopefully the Russians are having buyers remorse on Assad and orchestrate some type of coup to take him out and replace him with a more rational individual who is still friendly to them. I don’t see how having a loose cannon like this as an ally is beneficial to them. They can’t have sanctioned this action. This makes them look very bad. I know Putin could care less that women and children were gassed, but he’s certainly aware that the PR hit from using WMD far outweighs any tactical advantage gained.

Why would Assad risk the wrath of the U.S. by authorizing a chemical weapons attack? It is more likely that the gas was a release by ISIS mishandling their own stocks of the stuff, or even a deliberate ISIS release to tar Assad in the minds of other nations.

I could give you a very, very long list of genocidal and/or son of genocidal, rulers. Is the US duty-bound to go and "take out" all of them?

We're dead broke, in case you've forgotten.

If this report is true, sure hope we have intelligence proving Assad carried out this gas attack.

Here we go boyz and girlz....bout to get messy. An attack on a Russian ally.

Exactly right....He has 90% control of his country; it makes no sense to gas his own people. McCain and the neocons are possibly behind this as I swear they want a war with Russia...or anyone! Don’t take the bait President Trump.

Even if this wasn’t a false flag or a bomb hitting a small cache of chemical devices, taking Assad out is a huge mistake. Haven’t learned a damn thing from Iraq and Libya.

There was some comgresscritter on MacCallums’ show yesterday making the argument to take Assad sounding eerily familiar.

Who replaces Assad? Does the Syrian Civil War go on and on? When does the flow of Syrian refugees stop? Do we back the enemies(who murder Cristians)of Assad until every Christian in Syria is driven out or dead?

Go to youtube... and simply search for BARREL BOMBS... I am not even going to dignify your insane ignorance beyond that. The documented and verified gas attacks by the Assad forces against the rebels are well documented and been throughly investigated and confirmed by MULTIPLE groups in the past...

Assad is NOT a nice guy, ISIS and the Rebels are not NICE GUYS... but this insistence by some morons here that if something really really bad happens in Syria that its the Rebels and ISIS staging it, is MORONIC. This false flag nonsense went around last time, in 14 or whatever it was, and all investigations concluded without question Assad gassed those people, every single one.... This false flag garbage is propaganda of the worst kind.

What is more believable, that a tyranical tyrant who has shown no qualms using chemical weapons against his own people multiple times int he past is willing to do so again to test the new American administration... or that rebels, who largely hold areas that are completely decimated, are somehow manufacturing complex nerve agents and they were released accidentally by russian or assad air strikes? Or even more your lunatic theory they are over there abducting children en masse to kill them.

I suppose in your world the survivors who got help and offered their testimony are just all plants, who intentionally exposed themselves to nerve and gas agents just so they could be revived to recount lies ?

I’m sorry, but if you are falling for this false flag crap this time, shame on you... first time shame on the liars fooling you.. if you are falling for it again this time, just shame on you.

Usually what happens with people like Assad is the result of hubris. And they then miscalculate. Think of Saddam. Assad believes that the US Sec of State said the US pressure was off. He wants to intimidate by terror his remaining opponents. He wouldn’t be the first arrogant dictator that no longer could see the left and right limits.

The air strike was carried out by the Russians. If they were making a chemical attack, it would have been much more effective. I would sure like to see this investigated more before action is taken, especially since the last attack on rebels by chemical agents turned out to be self-inflicted.

Oh and for the record I never said the barrel bombs were Sarin... they were Chlorine Gas... As if that will matter to the willful ignorance you wish to keep pushing

That was obvious. You give a woman a power and she yells and screams and makes a scene. She has political aspirations and every action she does should be seen in that prism. I could see her trying to be tough so she could primary Trump. He really should have picked more people who agree with him in his cabinet. 60% of his cabinet disagree with him on key issues.

There is no valid reason for the US to become over embroiled in Syria.

The American people are not interested in engaging in another Muslim war.

And someone posted a response to you yesterday about ISIS bragging about dropping chlorine gas bomsticks and yet you conveniently ignored that post. Hmmmmm, I wonder why?
