I have a prayer rug in my house too. Bought it in Iraq and used it as a door mat to knock the sand off my feet when I walked into my CHU (containerized housing unit), now use it as a throw rug under the living room table.

Same here

I have several Persian Hamadan and one Belouch prayer rug along with 10-15 oriental rugs throughout my house

The Hamadan prayer rugs are entry rugs

The Belouch being antique tribal and a nice periwinkle fade lays by my bed just for stepping on

I have a bunch. Use them as door mats mosty. My black lab loves to sleep on them. ; )
