The intelligence reports at the center of the Susan Rice unmasking controversy were detailed, and almost resembled a private investigator’s file, according to a Republican congressman familiar with the documents.

"This is information about their everyday lives," Rep. Peter King of New York, a member of the House Intelligence committee said. "Sort of like in a divorce case where lawyers are hired, investigators are hired just to find out what the other person is doing from morning until night and then you try to piece it together later on.”

The filthy ‘rats were fishing for blackmail materials.

Total abuse of the vast surveillance powers of the federal govt.

Heads must roll straight to prison, many of them.

Rice had no business doing that whatsoever regardless of her position.....it wasn’t her job!.................Monitoring the conversations of your political opponents, isn’t “incidental collection.”.... It’s spying!

I think the DOJ has all kinds of powers to convene a grand jury. Atty General Sessions could announce one tomorrow if he wanted to....

I appreciate what you think. At least you think.
Edward Snowden is the greatest national hero since General George Patton. He literally exposed these bastards and their unconstitutional practices years ago. We now see that he was soooo very right. He deserves the congressional medal of honor and public schools in every city named for him. My Gawd!! what a hero. STOP THE PATRIOT ACT!!

Are you saying Obama had/has a boyfriend on the side. Annual private trips to Malta, etc. ?

The Sessions recusal pertains only to issues of Russia and Trump associates. If it is clear that an investigation is needed of surveillance that did NOT pertain to Russia, I don’t think Sessions is constrained at all, though ofc the ‘rats and the Mediascum would beat up on him anyway.

Either a special prosecutor and/or a grand jury is needed asap. I think the DOJ has full powers to authorize either.

Wonder if John Roberts will now become the justice we THOUGHT he was!!!

Not until we can locate the blackmail file that has his dirty secrets in it. We need to find and destroy all these files that Obama and Hillary have on judges, Congressmen and administrators.

If we can recapture the FBI they should do simultaneous raids on Obama's house and all the Clinton houses and round these files up.

I’m hoping they hold off and just let this thing shake these people out....we know they’re all squirming and frantically trying to shore up the cracks in their firewalls....doesn’t look to be working...tsk...they have no idea who is looking at them and their records..and no doubt Sessions and others aren’t going to show their hand until they have everything they want to blow this thing up!

The ‘less’ we hear from our guys the better......the ‘more’ we hear the losers the better....let them slit their own throats!

Seems like water will find a drain eventually data keep on everybody seems to pool much longer.

These surveillance programs need to be shut down and we need to make conceal and carry recognized nationally.

We are living in a society where everything we say via electronic means seems to be systematically collected, sorted, characterized, and stored for possible future use.

Talk about freedom of choice - how about the freedom to not have every aspect of my daily cyber life be subject to the whims of 17!! Intelligence agencies - I doubt our brain has that main departmental divisions - I think that as many brain cells as I have left ...

Its like this Rice thing they know damn well an incoming president is going to be talking with and attempting to establish the beginnings of working diplomatic relationships with the major nations of the world - so many ways to get around the rules.

How can Abortion be, super precedent in an evolving document never to be changed, covered under the so called right of privacy, butt DHS can literally take a peek at my last prostate exam - we have a justice system? - my ass!

I think it’s becoming clear that the Russia stuff is bs. Sessions should withdraw his recusal.

Agreed! Very sensible comment. Let them do the "kabuki theatre"...

Only drawback to that is, if the whole media stops asking any questions, Rice and the rest of those (formerly and also currently still) entrenched political appointees may likewise stop worrying about prosecution for any perfidious behavior.

"Nothing to see here! All legal! Move on now!"

It could happen...I just hope there's a little chess-playing going on here. I believe there is...

Actually, he recused himself from "any investigations related to the 2016 presidential campaign".

So, he would still be recused from any investigation of illegal snooping on the campaign (pre and post) regardless of the motive for the snooping.

Maybe there's some sleeper guy in the DOJ, perhaps a night janitor who's worked there for 40 years and spent all his spare time reading law books, case law, etc. and can be promoted and become the hero of the day by winding up prosecuting hundreds of swamp-dwellers.

Well...let them stop worrying...all the better if they let their guards down....either way this thing needs to be given time to play out.. and we need to be patient.

As for the MSM...they have their own war and major issues they have to contend with as they're far more than just part of the problem.....they're in it. Do they stay loyal to the demorats and progressives and all those pulling strings...and loose their listeners entirely...or do they buckle down and begin being real investigative journalist and reporters.

I'm not holding my breath on that one....

I went back and looked at what exactly he said. He recused himself from any investigation relating to the 2016 election. It wasn't limited to just Russian links.

ANyway he needn’t conduct any investigations himself, he (or his new Deputy AG when finally confirmed) can decide to appoint an Independent Counsel or have a US Attorney convene a Grand Jury.
