I recall posting about this many years ago, when there was some ban put on cell phone divorces somewhere in the Mideast. My impression was it was mostly divorce one of your wives on your flight to Vegas or Monaco, to make room. Marry a hooker for a day or two. Talaq her, take wifey back when you get home. Wifey won't care. Neither will western feminists, just a slightly different culture. Guess someone other than divorce lawyers, the halala brokers, learned to make money from it

The Soviets had a similar system. You could “marry” a prostitute (state sponsored, what would she be like?), stay the night, then “divorce her” in the morning, maybe only an hour or two later.
Iran has the same thing. Houses of prostitution where you “marry” for a couple of hours, then “divorce”.
I asked an Iranian what the purpose of such an arrangement was. He said if any children resulted, they would know who to go after.
It all amounts the giving absolute control over all aspects of life to the state, whether Islamic or secular.
