It certainly seems like it would be stupid for the winning side to do this. So I distrust the narrative that has been presented. The CIA pins hack attacks on others, it would not be too much for their failing minions in Syria to spoof a chemical attack.

Not really. KGB Vlad has a history of conducting this type of outrageous behavior. It’s psywar designed to break the morale of his opposition. The message is: We’re going to do this and nobody is going to stop it and/or help you.

A while back I listened to an interview some reporter was conducting with Assad. He was soft spoken and not at all reflective of an arrogant dictator who would ever gas his people. He seemed very genuine to me.

On theh other hand, seeing how our President is treated by some in the CIA, FBI, etc., I would not find it difficult to believe some in the U.S. gov’t are up to no good in many places.
