But it does mean something is not right.
I am not one to put them on the street when they turn 18. But I am one to put them on notice, they must be self-sufficient by 21 or suffer their fate without me.

Sometimes it's the best arrangement for both parties.
Any presumption that *something is wrong* is just speculation without knowing the facts.
There was nothing *not right* about the arrangement I had with my parents. And when I got married and moved out, I had no problem adjusting to being on my own and responsible.
