The Obama administration and their eight years were completely lawless.

Agree and there was very little opposition by the GOP. We had no federal budget approved by Congress for those eight years with just a series of Omnibus bills that funded Obamacare, the 2012 DACA amnesty, Planned Parenthood, the intervention in Libya, dismantling the military, etc. The GOP just rubber-stamped the Obama agenda giving us only some rhetoric that was not backed up with action. There were no calls for impeachment or even holding Obama accountable for his actions. Obama used Executive Orders to run the government and the GOP let him do it despite having the power of the purse since 2010.

If you are going to go after them on this what about the rest of their eight years?

Unlike the GOP, I am not giving Obama a pass for the past 8 years. I have made my objections known many times on this forum about Obama's transgressions.

But what Obama has done with the use of the government's intelligence agencies to spy on and destroy the political opposition, including the President-elect of the United States of America is the stuff of a constitutional crisis and the actions of a banana republic. The IRS scandal was bad enough with Lois Lerner taking the 5th and not being held accountable, but the actions taken by Obama and the Deep State go far beyond what is acceptable in a Republic based on the Rule of Law.

Watergate was about a third rate burglary by GOP operatives seeking to steal information from the DNC. The coverup by Nixon was worse than the crime. There was no proof that Nixon ordered the break-in or was even aware of the plans to do so. There were no government agencies involved in the break-in and other political chicanery. Members of Nixon's own administration resigned rather than follow his directives. GOP Congressmen like Howard Baker conducted non-partisan hearings to get to the bottom of it. A sitting President was forced to resign or face impeachment.

Clinton's conduct in the Lewinsky scandal resulted in impeachment but no conviction by the Senate. The Dems stood by Clinton's side to defend him despite having the court fine him for lying in the Paula Jones case, assessing a fine, and suspending his law license for several years.

With Trumpgate, we have politicized intelligence agencies being used against private US citizens, including the President-elect. If you don't agree as to how much more serious this is compared to Watergate and the Monica scandal, then we will just agree to disagree.

The U.S. intelligence official who “unmasked,” or exposed, the names of multiple private citizens affiliated with the Trump team is someone “very well known, very high up, very senior in the intelligence world,” a source told Fox News on Friday.

Intelligence and House sources with direct knowledge of the disclosure of classified names told Fox News that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., now knows who is responsible -- and that person is not in the FBI.

For a private citizen to be “unmasked,” or named, in an intelligence report is extremely rare. Typically, the American is a suspect in a crime, is in danger or has to be named to explain the context of the report.

“The main issue in this case, is not only the unmasking of these names of private citizens, but the spreading of these names for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security or an investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election,” a congressional source close to the investigation told Fox

The communications collected from Trump team associates apparently were picked up during surveillance of foreign targets. But an intelligence source familiar with those targets said they were spied on long before Trump became the GOP presidential nominee in mid-July.

In addition, citizens affiliated with Trump’s team who were unmasked were not associated with any intelligence about Russia or other foreign intelligence, sources confirmed. The initial unmasking led to other surveillance, which led to other private citizens being wrongly unmasked, sources said.

"Unmasking is not unprecedented, but unmasking for political purposes ... specifically of Trump transition team members ... is highly suspect and questionable,” an intelligence source told Fox News. “Opposition by some in the intelligence agencies who were very connected to the Obama and Clinton teams was strong. After Trump was elected, they decided they were going to ruin his presidency by picking them off one by one."

Of course you have an excellent point and you are right that what the regime has done makes Watergate look like a parking ticket. My problem is there is so much to go after obama on I just could not decide on where to put the political capital knowing that its probably a one shot thing.

Even than we already know the race card will come out from the bottom of the deck almost immediately along with every other excuse known to man....

The guy needs to be in jail along with val/jar and who knows how many others. Problem is,IMHO, the pathway.

I gotta tell ya what worries me about the Russian/Trump BS saga is that several on the panels this morning on various nets were claiming we will still be talking about this a year from now!

That would be playing right into their hands,IMHO.This whole thing can't end soon enough for me.

Exactly, except I don't know why you would refer to it as "Trumpgate"....he had nothing to do with it.

Obama was using the executive branch like a banana republic dictator.
