The understated fact behind these comments is: surveillance was being done on US citizens.
Remember Ed Snowden? He said the gov’t was Hoovering-up content as well as metadata and the government calle him a liar. THEY are the ones doing the lying, because they know the public outrage would be unprecedented if we actually knew that Snowdwn was right. THey looked right into the cameras and flat-out lied.
How do I know? I don’t really, but I do know this because they’ve admitted it: They use NarusInsight machines that can suck up 10 gigabytes per second of data. All voice traffic now is data, all internet traffic - basically everything you say or do into a machine is digital data and that’s what NSA captures. They may not transcribe but a fraction of it and they may not keep it forever, but they have the content, not just the metadata.

Experts say that it’s possible to select an individual and have all of his past data brought up in one file, as well as all future data being flagged for review. And that’s just what they did. People know this.
We the People need to see evidence, from named sources. Until then, it is all hearsay and will be rebutted by the Lefties with more of their own.

Our intelligence agencies need some oversight with teeth. Perhaps treason charges for those who abuse it.
I would like to know if any covert surveillance was done to others. Boehner & Justice Roberts come to mind. Some of their actions make me wonder whether extortion was applied.

I am extremely pessimistic and highly doubt anyone will be charged for anything. There will be congressional hearings, there will be bloviating congressmen feeding red meat talking points to their respective base, and nothing will happen.
These last 8 years under Zero have taught me a lot about corruption. It continues today. And the government officials will continue to line their pockets.
My reaction is to pick out a single congressman in the house and accuse former President Buckwheat of sedition.
