could i pass this test? uhhh...No.

Could you pass the unit?
Requirements to complete the course:
15km (9 miles) speed march in full gear (22kg backpack, weapon, boots) through forests within two hours and 15 minutes
Six pull-ups
50 sit-ups in two minutes
40 push-ups
3km run - maximum time 13 minutes
400m swim, first 25m underwater - maximum time 11 minutes

In my younger days yes, after 25 years retired and a 5 year tbi victim No.

In my day I could have passed it easily except for the swimming part, which we didn’t have.

Six pull ups? I scoff.

48 pound ruck? Never got that light by half.

Something about this whole article doesn’t smell right.

Heck, as I recall .. having been retired for almost 20 years .. is that those requirements are somewhat less than what is needed to pass the standard PT test that I had to do yearly as a member of the JAG Corps. And you can't get much more REMF than that ...

Although I do want to say that my first three years in the Army were as an infantryman in a Cav unit and I carried the M60 hog for those three years .. 1975-1978. And the normal combat arms PT test in those days was much more than that.
