Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows laid out his conditions in an editorial board meeting at the Washington Examiner Thursday.
The Affordable Health Care Act repealed the employer mandate and the individual mandate. That's two of Obamacare's 12 mandates, by Meadows' count.
"The Freedom Caucus has asked for two [more] to be included in the repeal," Meadows said, "which would bring us to a total of four of the twelve Obamacare mandates. That's our ask: These Obamacare mandates repealed in exchange for Yes votes."
The Essential Health Benefits and "Community Rating" are the two regulations the Freedom Caucus wants dead.

Then use your power to get Ryan to bring that to a vote.
It’s simple. We all want that. Once that’s passed, Trump has to sign it.
Keep it simple. Repeal Obamacare outright by terminating it at the end of the current policy cycle, end of year. Then, separately, work on a free market replacement with protections for pre-existing conditions and the truly poor.
Ah, just like a ratcheting pliers... 12 steps backwards and now 2 steps forwards.
Heard this on Rush. I’m glad to hear that since Trump’s tweet they’ve gone beyond the obstructionist phase. I fully support them with these two demands. It’s reasonable and I would like to hear what naysayers have to say about this proposal (it’s not just saying no anymore, which was a fair criticism). This should be a doable deal. The Tuesday Group better not turn to obstructionism now.
“Throw all the conservatives out of Congress, they can’t get anything done! They are obstructing the march to socialism!”
The psychosis taking hold here is frightening.
Thoughts?
Freedom Caucus has responded to Trump’s trash-talk threats with 2 “demands.”
Rush covered this today, but this Freedom Caucus-response article hadn’t been posted on FR.
“Leave bamicare for those that want it, and open up the cross state markets for those that want it and have pre existing conditions...
That way, we don't have to pay for abortions, sex changes, drug treatments, booze treatments, pregnancies tests, condoms, birth control, breast implants, penis enlargements, etc for those of us that do not use these functions”
I like it!!!
Lost among all the bashing of the Freedom Caucus is the fact that there were more Tuesday Group defections than conservatives.
Meadows also said he can swallow the AHCA’s refundable tax credits, which amount to federal spending and a new entitlement. “We got over that three weeks ago We fully believe we’re creating a new entitlement by doing that. That being said, our main goal, our only goal, is to lower premiums.”
The Freedom Caucus is giving up and allowing Paul Ryan to create a new entitlement program. Another win for big government.
What they call tax credits are subsidies.
This is what Rep. Mo Brooks is trying to do beginning with the simple bill he has filed.
Rep. Mo Brooks files bill to repeal Obamacare

penis enlargements,.....Oh C’mon now. That’s a Human right!!
You seem to be confused. Such an approach can only occur if there's a President in the Oval Office who won't sign such legislation.
Now that President Trump is there, you wont see any such bill make it to the House floor, and if you did, it wouldn't come anywhere close to passing.
While you're at it, why not advocate for the "Magic Rainbow Unicorns Farting Skittles" Act as well?
Or, alternately, maybe someone could propose a bill that actually has a chance of passing Congress.
By now, it should be clear to even the most naive or idealistic person that the Obamacare repeal bills passed by the GOP Congress during the Obama administration were :boob bait for bubbas". They will never even be be introduced—much less passed—by essentially the exact same GOP majority in Congress that passed them half a dozen times over the past 8 years.
That's just a hard motherf-----g fact of life...
Just wait til it comes back from the Senate, because you know further changes will be made. Which is why this whole FC stunt was so pointless. Everyone on FC and half of FR need to go watch Schoolhouse Rock “I’m Just a Bill”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyeJ55o3El0
That's a huge concession by the FC. If Ryan won't deal with that then his whole bill was just another RINO dog and pony act.
Moving incrementally is the best we can do. The Republicans are @$$es.
ROFL!!!
I didn’t hear her interview on Hannity, but this:
Agree that, at the very least, opening up the cross state markets is essential.
How does the elimination of Meadow’s (FC) 2 additional mandates devolve Obamacare from a federal entitlement? from Socialist-lite.
‘Lost among all the bashing of the Freedom Caucus is the fact that there were more Tuesday Group defections than conservatives.’
The reason the Tuesday Club’s opposition has been downplayed is simple. FC supporters were taking never-ending victory laps, giving all the credit for killing Ryancare to the conservatives.
I personally saw some posters bring up the fact that the moderates played a bigger role in defeating Ryancare than the FC. They were either ignored or pummeled.
You’re aware that the current state IS socialism right? By doing nothing socialism takes hold (it may have already taken hold since it’s been a law for almost a decade). If you can cut it’s knees though you may be able to start to turn the boat. Doing nothing is socialism. changing the law and even getting rid of 1 or 2 of the mandates is progress. I agree, I want the whole thing gone but the reality is the demise of the country didn’t happen in 1 year (certainly not 70 days). It’s not going to be fixed in one bill either.
