So who did you and your parents vote for in local elections for all those years Mr. Cohen?

America has a sin problem and a love for sin.
We can try to pin it on Democrats, but they wouldn’t have been enabled had Americans not been in love for their sin that also produced elections of said Democrats (and Republicans) who winked and nodded at it.

We’re living in the time of God’s patience and a storm that has been brewing for decades is about to sweep the land.

Why are Republicans - even relatively moderate ones - so unelectable in big cities these days? (Heck, I would argue old school centrist *Democrats* to be pretty much unelectable).

Why are big cities built? IF Genesis is a clue, it is to bring glory to man and let man control the people?

Gen 11:4 Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”

The police who responded were sympathetic and professional but ultimately of little assistance. They admitted to being overwhelmed due to the increasing levels of crime and the decreasing size of the police force.

The sad but true reality is that the only way police deter crime is by investigating AFTER THE FACT. The adage, "when seconds count, the police are (best case) minutes away. If the perps know there is a very good chance they will be apprehended (and possibly be incarcerated) may bring the crime rate down, but never eliminate it. The crime rate would be further reduced if potential perps know there is a pretty good chance their intended target is armed.

It comes down to the Curley Effect. Destroying cities gets Democrats elected, by driving away Republicans and moderates.

In a famous 2002 article in the Journal of Law, Economics, & Organization, Harvard scholars Edward Glaeser and Andrei Shleifer named the so-called “Curley Effect” after its prototype, James Michael Curley, who served four (non-consecutive) terms as mayor of Boston between 1914 and 1950. This phenomenon, the authors explain, is the strategy of “increasing the relative size of one’s political base through distortionary, wealth-reducing policies.” Forbes magazine puts it this way: “A politician or a political party can achieve long-term dominance by tipping the balance of votes in their direction through the implementation of policies that strangle and stifle economic growth. Counterintuitively, making a city poorer leads to political success for the engineers of that impoverishment.”

Nothing will change until they’re forced to file for bankruptcy.
