If immigrants legal or illegal started voting Republican in large numbers he and all the rest of the Democrats would hunt them down with dogs. That is not an exaggeration. The Press would begin telling us that immigrants and all immigrants are evil.
I’m seeing a delayed reaction on their part. For all they or we know that situation could have played a role in Donald Trump’s miracle win in November. Could help the cause if both parties were on the same page, however past history doesn’t lead to any confidence that working with Democrats leads to anything more than total disbelief and mistrust in objectives that might be considered good for the country and the people.
