Republicans own everything right now. If they pass immigration or healthcare or any substantive legislation, they will have no rallying cry in the 2018 midterm.
GOPe it’s strategically thinking ahead to 2018 and 2020 elections. They win nothing if things settle right now when no election is happening. Just simple fact.
We have been living under rallying crys for decades now, WE NEED congress.... they get congress, WE NEED the senate..... we give them the senate, WE NEED the White House...... we give them the White House....
