Earlier today, a couple of Republican officials, in a refreshing display of honesty, admitted what we have known all along: They dont want to repeal Obamacare. Even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R,Ky.) admitted there wont be another attempt:
"Mcconnell making clear Obamacare repeal efforts dead. "We have the existing law in place and we'll just have to see how that works out.""

Hes certainly come a long way from his 2014 campaign promise to repeal Obamacare root and branch and his 2013 CPAC speech in which he said anybody who thinks weve moved beyond it is dead wrong.

We have.
RINO rot controls the Republican party
I have more respect for evil, drooling, felon, Hillary than I do for these scum.
Thanks.
Obamacare and Rinocare effectively requires US citizens to buy a product. And even then, it is not really a product, as it is a contract. A legal contract between two parties.
Pretty amazing.
The federal government forcing us to buy something!
Next it will be hybrid cars. Everyone must buy a hybrid car under penalty of law.
Or it will be peaches, from Georgia. Everyone must buy a pound of Georgia peaches under penalty of law.
Whatever!!
So sad...
You’re wrong. McConnell and Ryan have one primary responsibility in their positions — to maintain their majority. If they lose the majority in some landslide, resignation then becomes in play unless their party begs them to stay.
McConnell is pretty much the ONLY reason Obama’s USSC nominee didn’t get seated. He had the balls to hold that seat open and hope for a GOP win. He got it. If he had let that seat fill, the court would be overwhelmingly liberal for a long time to come. HE is why you get a conservative or at least even handed court. Every time you bad mouth him, remember his courage.
Ryan didn’t want to be Speaker. THE HOUSE GOP BEGGED HIM. There was no one else who could get even close to a majority. Well, now he’s trying to do his job — which is hold the majority.
Y’all think you’re red meat hardcore conservatives? You think the guys you are applauding are? Watch them. In about 4 weeks. The present Continuing Resolution expires April 28. A new one will have to be crafted. The present one includes Obamacare funding including Planned Parenthood and funding for illegals. So will the new one. Ryan has to get that passed. You think any of your wackos could get it passed?
Back when he was reelected I warned that to do so could neutralize even the best, most conservative POTUS. Unless the senate agrees to replace him, or he is retired for health reasons, McConnell and Ryan will single handedly prevent the conservative agenda from being realized, as much as they possibly can.
Go go GOP fail train. CHOO CHOO! Chuga, chuga, chuga, chuga, glug, glug, glug.
KY people will always believe in their McC, just like the Arizonans.
KY people just can’t figure it all out. Neither can the Arizonans and so, so many others.
He wants the Democrats to pay for it in the Senate elections in 2018.
With rare exception, repeal Obama care was as much a red meat line as lock her up.
How many of them were honest prior to the last election?
Unfortunately, letting it die naturally may be the only way to get the public to realize what an abject failure it truly was. Any fix, no matter how inconsequential, that is implemented by Trump and Republicans will be spun so that Obamacare’s failure is their fault.

I am in agreement with your assessment.
+1
I have often wondered if that’s why Trump was “allowed” to win.
