Scott Pruitt, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is more interested in building his political career than he is taking on the Green Blob, insiders report.
Pruitt is also said to be behind attempts to remove at least one of the key phrases from the president’s long-awaited Executive Order on the environment.
It concerns a proposal to repeal the EPA’s Endangerment Finding on CO2 (the disastrous, unscientific, job-killing ruling introduced during the Obama Administration, which rebranded the harmless trace gas Carbon Dioxide as a dangerous substance).
If Pruitt is successful and this clause is removed from the Executive Order it will represent a major setback for President Trump’s war with the Climate Industrial Complex. It may also put into jeopardy the promises Trump made on the campaign trail to scrap “any regulation that is outdated, unnecessary, bad for workers, or contrary to the national interest.”
“This is the president’s one shot at winning this battle,” an ally in the EPA camp warns. “It’s like the French heavy cavalry at Agincourt: lose momentum and he’s going to get stuck in the mud being shot to pieces by the English longbows.”

Eliminating the EPA’s CO2 fraud is THE MAIN THING that Trump’s reps need to eliminate. And it needs to be gone 100% — and quickly.

And exactly how long has he been in charge? about a month. How many of his new subordinates whom he needs to run the EPA have been approved by the Senate? probably ZERO — thus he is left with Obama’s socialists in key positions.

I worked for the government, all about empire building. I can guarantee you that no government executive wants to shrink his department, all about more, increasingly complicated, expanded authority, and increased funding.
Sad but true.

Pruitt fought the EPA almost continuously while OK AG.
I fly fish and read several fly fishing websites.
Those websites describe Pruitt as the devil himself.
I really don’t have the energy to defend him against them and people on here that get their information from a website authored by a guy I’ve never heard of.
The guy hasn’t been confirmed for a month yet.
If he quits there’s no way a more anti-EPA person will ever get 50 votes for confirmation.
The EPA decides someone is in violation and then it is up to the accused to prove their innocence. That is actually the direct opposite of American jurisprudence. It is run more like a Stalin era Soviet agency than anything in America. The little guy can’t afford to fight and gets crushed. Large corporations love it because they have an army of lawyers to comply with the regulations and their smaller competitors go bankrupt.
We need a head that reverses that.
He’s discovered the money to be made pushing the climate change meme.

I haven’t kept up with this, but if he hasn’t been confirmed yet, then he’d be foolish to talk about doing away with the CO2 nonsense. Wait till he’s been confirmed. No point in giving your enemies more weapons. It’s bad enough as it is.
