I’m guessing those three words were NOT “Bless you, bishop.”

Seriously, when I lived in California in the 1980’s I too stopped attending mass.

Roger Mahoney was the cardinal in Southern California then, and he appeared on TV urging people to vote for democrats. He supported every liberal cause he could find....gun control, open borders, high taxes, etc. I finally had enough.

Later, he helped cover up the priest sex scandal.

The church has only drifted further left since then. Sad, pathetic and outrageous.

Oh yes, Roger Mahoney. Another peach of an activist, miscreant cardinal who went Left-wing as a priest in Fresno, (Moonbeam gave him his first political appointment in 1975 to the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board) and got worse with every passing year and every promotion. His unconscionable participation in the cover-ups, lies, deflections etc. in the Catholic Church sexual abuse scandal didn't really properly nail him because he issued an apology...

LA cardinal offers abuse apology

Cardinal Roger Mahony at a news conference on 15 July 2007

Cardinal Mahony described the abuse as a "terrible sin and crime"

The Roman Catholic Church in Los Angeles has apologized to hundreds of people abused by priests after agreeing to a record-breaking settlement.

Mahony's disclosure on sex abuse claims left out information on clerics who stayed in ministry.

I think this biography is representative of several democrats, particularly democrats MSM has either sheilded or built-up like Obama and both Clintons.
