That reminds me of the shooting of a protestor during the Milo speech at the University of Washington a few weeks ago... That shooter was an Asian man who apparently was there to protest the Milo appearance.
He said he thought he was being attacked by a "Neo-Nazi Skinhead" when he fired on his assailant. There are at least two videos which clearly show the incident.
He was definitely under attack when he fired, and the police never charged him with anything. They never charged his assailant either. Things that make you go "Hmmmm".
I believe that incident was a "Blue-on-Blue" casualty.

Thanks. I did see the videos. It was never clear to me why the Asian man was attacked, except maybe for just being there and not being one of the hard-nosed, organized protestors. The fact that he described his attacker as a racist "skinhead" indicated he was either a just a bystander or a one-off protester unfamiliar with the methods and attire of the more hard-nosed protestors.
Since he was surrounded by a mob, and being attacked, I thought he acted justifiably, but I'm sure the police would not have been so understanding if he had been a Milo supporter. The police typically do NOT like ordinary citizens defending themselves with firearms.
