Is there some reason Ryan cant pass that bill again? Other than he knows/fears now it would actually be signed by the sitting President.
The reason is there is little support. Jim Jordan, Rand, etc. are great at flapping his gums on TV. Not so great at gathering support for their healthcare bill. So we’re left with nothing after the freedom caucus’ arson. Make no mistake: opposition to this bill from likes of never Trumpers like Mike Lee and Mark Sanford was primarily to damage POTUS and make him a one termer.
The reason is there is little support.
Less support than there was in '15?
Bwhahaha Lee a never Trumper. It’s always the same with this crowd of personality cultists. Reminds me of Star Wars you’re either with me or against me. Hogwash! I’ve had enough of faux conservatives barking at others about this never Trump or that never Trump. Your mistake is that you make is personal and make it about the man instead of BAD POLICY. You and others of your ilk see it as with me 100% or it’s total defeat and complete betrayal to the one. This is kind of reminiscent of the followers of the last squatter. This is called cult of personality. It is not conservative to abandon ones principles when all they see in front of them is a man and even if dead wrong will continue lock step 100%
Sheep up!!!
Trump is not calling for a straight repeal now nor did he run on that.
He promised a replacement that would cover everyone, it worked for election purposes(similar to his SS and Medicare promises), he beat Hillary.
Trump's promises and the FC’s positions are incompatible on this. Results predictable.
That's why they are talking about teaming up with some Dems to replace the FC votes on upcoming bills.
So they were able to pass the full repeal in January of 2016, but today they wouldn't have the support?
