Hey, if they want to wear a ‘rape-me’ sign....
Silly you.
Sunday best is now trousers and polo.
And worse is perfectly acceptable!
Nope, we don’t even get “dressed” for church.
“Rules are rules.I,for one, recall the days when flying...for the typical American at least...was a big deal and you got dressed up in your Sunday best to fly. Now,for those who fly coach at least (that’s me!),it’s just stepping onto a bus with wings. “
Used to be an experience worth dressing up for.
Who dresses up to go on Survivor??
Sunday best
there’s a term I haven’t heard in a long time. Some younger people may not know what that means. To me, the erosion of the idea of Sunday best is another sad trend of the times, namely, that people don’t get dressed up for church anymore.
Just a pet peeve of mine. People dress so sloppy for church anymore.
If you want an example of how liberalized secular/cultural standards have penetrated churches, just look around at how people in your church dress. And then for those old enough, compare to how people would be dressed for church in 1960 or 1970.

So do I.... I think it was 1986 flying back to CA from NY that we decided we WOULD NOT dress for the return trip as we did for the one to NY...first time ever not dressed up for flying. It used to be the special outfit COMPLETE with hat and gloves. Boy - do I feel old!!!!
A boss I had in CA flew for TWA and anyone not following the rules of proper dress (and other rules) for passes given out by him would never have gotten another one - and perhaps would have seen a firing in their future. I never flew on a pass..
