While we can cheer the response of “our side” to the masked and violent interlopers, I want to warn everyone that this is the exact type of conflict on the streets that occurred between communists and NAZI brownshirts in Germany in the 20s and early 30s.

I don’t mean that the masked men are communists or that the Trumps supporters are NAZIs but when conflict in the streets occurs instead of civil discourse, any country is headed for a cataclysm.

You could argue that the left is the party of anarchy and ‘resistance’ vs. ordinary Americans but that doesn’t solve the problem of the widening chasm between the left and right.

What’s next? Both sides begin to deploy bully boys in identifying armbands and shirts to attack the other side. So far we’ve only seen a small group of leftists or anarchists
at Trump rallies. But is a response by Trumpers far behind?
