“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV

If you need to lose a battle, RyanCare is the one to lose. This was another Marxist version of insurance which was going to eventually turn into universal Medicare. Now is the time to move on and begin working on a program which will repeal it after their mess falls apart. There is no need to replace it as there will be nothing left of Obamacare after the crash.

President Donald Jobs Trump made the same basic mistake everyone makes once they win the office he started listening to his managers. He has to realize managers get paid whether you win or lose, their checks still cash while yours does not. In this case his managers were Paul Ryan and some gutless advisers in the Oval Office. They told him as a Repub you have to play small ball or the Dems and media will not love you, so they came up with this incremental nonsense.

The entire District of Corruption hates Conservatism and especially President Trump so there is not going to be anything to satisfy them. If they hate you then give them a reason and go in with a bill which repeals it and tell the insurance industry they have to come up with some policies to cover the uninsurable. There will be wailing and crying but this is the only solution since the Dems crushed the insurance policies into a million pieces.

Let the DNC enjoy their victory although his blaming them was pure genius. Whenever he is asked about it he can blame them and in two years the people will be blaming them too. This was not the plan he wanted his name on and certainly not the direction the country wanted to go. For Paul Ryan 2020 to pretend he could insure people as well as the insurance industry did before OCare is a joke, there are far too many variables and pieces to have a gummit program manage. By all appearances he produced something worse although nobody really knew what was in it.

The problem with campaign managers is they have no idea what they are doing. They have never knocked on the doors of the people they claim to be representing and only manage from bunkers. They are trained to manage exactly the way Democrats manage even though Dems have so many advantages the Repubs never do. They have the media amplifying and worshiping their Marxist doxology while Repubs have to explain it themselves. Dems can lie over and over which is explained as the truth and marketed as the greatest brilliance in all of histoir, Repubs are inhumane and Trump has to understand this.

They should have went in with the full program at the start and let it win or fail on its own. He knows how to market a full loaf and maybe only end up with three quarters. What managers do not understand is none of this matters to the voters. They are completely tuned out and could not care less until the next election and only for the ones that count two weeks to one day prior. If you get out your vote you win, if you don’t you lose. They are not even going to remember what happened today.
Nothing matters in elections except GOTV and managers have not figured this out, they are always in campaign mode and never into governing.

The fact is you have to try to put the genie back in the bottle. How do you underwrite an entire country which has not been underwritten for eight years? How do you cover pre-existing diseases and conditions when they have all been covered? Obama absolutely destroyed the insurance industry in his attempt to turn this into a communist country and now the only way to bring it back is over a decade or so to reinstall market based forces.

There may have to be two parallel programs to wean the people off of this while the healthy people are under another system which costs much less. There would have to be some sort of gummit guarantees for the high risk group while they are transitioned to the regular plans. There are no easy solutions which is why RyanCare was such a bad idea since he pretended there was.

The other question about ObamaCare2.0 was what keeps you from going to bucket two now? If so much the plan was having Secretary Price make all these changes, what stops him from making those changes anyway and eliminating as much of DeathCare as you can? It seems you can simply reverse much of what was done by the last regime and make things better.

Going forward he has to remember the polls are fake and he is not running for anything now. Come in with the plan of your wildest dreams and push as much of it through as you can. Make sure the budget defunds Obamacare and kill it ASAP. Make sure the American people understand and whether they agree or not they will respect or fear you. The Dems and media are going to hate you no matter what so give them a reason, but never let them be a factor in your decision.

Now is the time to push through an aggressive budget to help the economy grow. Ignore the usual forces who will cry deficits for tax cuts yet have been fine with deficits for every social boondoggle under the sun. Lower taxes and spending stimulates economic growth as the middle class can finally have dollars in their pockets rather than some bureaucrats’.

He has done a great job shrinking gummit and bringing businesses into the circle. If he stays with his strengths he can build a coalition which can tackle HC next year when there is more time to do it and put it on the ballot.

Losing the battle of RyanCare was a victory in disguise and a not very good disguise at that. He was trying to fix a problem the Dems created and it is a much more complex issue than can be solved in four weeks. The fact is it is still on their backs rather than his and when the details of RC were to come out he would be explaining to both left and right why it is better for years to come. He needs to ignore his managers when it goes against his gut and move to his sweet spot which is budgets, and cost cutting. This is a battle he should be eager to fight and win. Time to drain Moscow by the Potomac.

Pray America woke

Great stuff as usual.
What is so sad is that historically the House had voted down obamacare over and over. Even sent it to obama’s desk a number of times. Yet when it comes to time to send it to A Real President one who would have singed its death, the saboteurs come in to play.
Who are the saboteurs? In the inner circle I will leave that up to the reader to decide.
As to Paul Ryan he is a card carrying NWO type and his version of a bill that obviously didn’t take the seven years he had to write it was always designed to fail and embarass the President.
Problem is Ryan didn’t realize that our President is so smart he is always one step ahead. Now Ryan has to live with the fact that he killed the vote on “Ryancare” even while Pres. Trump was still calling house members to get their vote when he figured out that he had been played by bigger people. People who knew what he was up to.:
..........................
In the midafternoon, a beaming Mr. Trump climbed into the rig of a black tractor-trailer, which had been driven to the White House for an event with trucking industry executives, honking the horn and posing for a series of tough-guy photos — one with his fists held aloft, another staring straight ahead, hands gripping the large wheel, his face compressed into an excited scream.
At a meeting inside shortly afterward, Mr. Trump announced that he was pressed for time and needed to go make calls for more votes.
A reporter informed him that the vote had already been called off.
The problem in this scenario though is REPORTERS HAD TO INFORM THE PRESIDENT that the vote was cancelled. Yes President Trump was at a meeting and reporters were there, and he tried to excuse himself to make more phone calls to Congressmen, but the reporters were the first to inform him that Paul Ryan had cancelled the vote.

......................
Maybe we can get a clean kill bill one day maybe not. Doesn’t matter we sill have a fence to build taxes to cut and a military to support. Thank God we have a President who is up for all three.

You can put lipstick on this pig, but it is still a pig. Trump suffered a major defeat that augurs poorly for the rest of his agenda. The GOP had 7 years to come up with an alternative to Obamacare and failed to do. Trump made a major effort to get the bill passed including holding public rallies and meeting personnel with over 100 Congressmen. This defeat was no victory for Trump.

The reality is that the GOP does not want to repeal Obamacare. They have helped the Dems make hundreds of fixes to Obamacare since 2010 and they have funded it every year including thru 2017.

The GOP is incapable of governing. The failure to repeal and replace Obamacare is a symptom of a more serious problem, i.e., the inability to reach a basic consensus on policy in support of the President. We will see this play out in raising the debt limit, tax reform, immigration reform, building the wall, trade policy, infrastructure repair, etc. There are elements within the GOP that will fight harder against a Rep President than they did against Obama. Every issue will trigger internecine warfare within the GOP.

Trump is not a conservative and never pretended to be one. However, his SCOTUS and Cabinet appointments, his desire to rebuild the military, his immigration policies, tax reform, etc. are conservative.

Trump is going to get frustrated by his inability to move his agenda using the GOP "majority" in Congress. He will reach out to the Dems and do some horse trading. I see Trump working with the Dems to mend Obamacare rather than end it once the current implosion hits a critical mass with the public call for immediate relief. The same will happen with infrastructure as the GOP tries to prevent the bill because of its impact on deficit and debt. Trump is a pragmatist and will not allow GOP dysfunction prevent him from achieving his objectives one way or another.

Watching the Sunday Morning Shows is an impossible task for me. Instead I am watching Sunday Morning Futures. Trump seems to be very naive. Mukasey is supports Trump’s wiretaps tweet whole heartedly. Maria asked him point-blank if he was surprised that Trump didn’t fire Comey. Mukasey responded that the only time Trump could get rid of Comey was at the beginning of term as POTUS. His decision not to do that is worrisome. That decision and his decisions to support Ryan as Speaker and now badmouthing his most ardent supporters is very troubling.
