The political elite want America to become a single option health care country. That single option would be Medicaid.
Everybody would be born with an automatic medicaid account. THIS entity would be available for all health care, including pre-existing conditions.
There. One huge factor out of the way.
The private health care companies get involved much like they do with Medicare. They will offer medigap policies that will pay for deductibles and co-pays.
Of course soon after the political elite get it this way, deductibles and co-pays will soar, much like they are now.
But boom, theres no fighting over pre-existing conditions and as for medigap plans .citizens can then choose those health care plans they want and/or need.
Yes.
I believe that is the plan. Maybe it isnt all fleshed and solid in the minds of our elected masters but they are our bosses, they own our lives.
Soon to have complete control of our health.
Nice summary and thinking Pat. There’s some real smell about this and I think you found it.
No, it is Medicare for all. Bernie has been especially active in promoting this option.
What Comes Next for Obamacare? The Case for Medicare for All
Well I’d like to take full credit for the genius. But it was my brother-in-law who came up with the scenario that makes a whole lot of sense.
Here’s the thing about health care in America....no matter who you are, we will not deny someone health care, no matter their addictions, no matter their weight, no matter their sexual status, no matter anything.
Various and sundry examples we could discuss but it’s not going to be denied.
Let us not forget we have over 11 million illegals in this country so we will take care of them too. We will not deny them and arguments could rage whether that’s the right thing. For now, it’s what we have, as a society, decided to do.
Maybe we didn’t vote for it but if we see someone dying , we call help and we take care of it.
Of course this costs a lot of money.
The Medicaid at birth option fits all the bills.
First and foremost, it satisfies that bit about pre-existing conditions. That’s a big thorn in the side of this concept called “insurance” so every American, at birth will have protection for medical conditions they suddenly came upon, or emergencies....those things that we would take care of anyway.
Also, that thing about being 26 years old on parents’ insurance, perhaps it was because I hit this big snag with my own daughter, who, coincidentally, had Muncheussen and loved the hospitals. We had private health insurance which paid for crazy daughter but they dropped her at age 19!
Nobody need health insurance more than her....even if all fake.
But why get in a big fight about it? Most people under 26, never mind my nutjob daughter, are reasonably healthy. Just boom, dropping someone seems abrupt as young people around that age don’t usually have great jobs paying marvelous health benefits.
which is not to say that these youngsters under age 26 but at an adult age shouldn’t have to PAY for this coverage. My daughter was offered COBRA but hell no, I didn’t pay it for her.
The bigger point is that the health insurance should remain an option until after age 26 when normal people have a job.
But the Medicaid card we all will have will also take care of this.
Then we get the CIGNAs and the AETNAs jumping in and paying for abortions, gender changes, whatever the hell we’ll be willing to pay for. For the right price, they will provide our birth control.
So the rest of the country doesn’t have to constantly debate every little pill or stitch.
Yeah....I think this is the plan.
It might even be a good plan but got to think more on that.
I end with noting I watch Tom Cotton on Face the Nation and I still think he is incredibly handsome.
