The problem is Ryan is part of the establishment wing of the party which appears to me to have the most members.
I don’t think they see themselves as being part of the Uni-party or aligned with the left but the country sure does.
They may be our reps but when it hits the fan they are like the guys in the foxhole not caring about anything else but survival and watching out for their fellow foxhole dwellers which also creates a bond between them that’s hard to break. About the only real way to do it is to vote them out which can be really difficult when the people that vote for them like them. Look at diaper-boy franken; he even got re-elected.
We so desperately need term limits. Five terms for the House at 2 years each and 2 terms for the senate at 6 years each. If it weren’t for election years being every two years I’d say change the senate term to 5 years. Could maybe drop it down to 4 years though and make it a 3 term limit.

Same here. I have to be frugal with my donations anyway, but yeah, there wasn't anyone else whom I felt strongly enough to help financially.
A fairly large number of Freepers are not pleased with the GOPe but some are for whatever reason. I lean quite conservative but tend to be more liberal than some when it comes to womens choices. I mean liberal in the way it is meant to be; not the way the leftist liberals have twisted it to be when speaking of them. For instance I can envision a compromise to roe vs wade by severely limiting abortions after the 20 week mark when the baby starts to feel pain according to the latest science. Just as an example of what I mean by liberal.
An important point about our founders is they tended to be liberal thinkers, again, not the way the leftist liberals mean it. They were also progressive in their thinking in that they could foresee our country progressing, again, not the way the liberal progressives mean it. Very different but they use this to point to our forefathers in a twisted way sometimes. It's good to be forearmed with this knowledge.
I hope that didn't sound too preachy. Just wanted to share that info here (again). :)
It makes me sad when I think how far left our leadership and the general population has moved the center point in politics. It's great to see the push back these days aye!
The Judge is correct. Something just didn’t seem right. It was too soon to vote without knowing more details. Better to work on this more than to rush it through, and it is better to push for more free market.
Ryan may need to go if he can’t handle this correctly.

President Trump had tweeted that we should watch the judge’s show. At first, I thought it might be a hint about the intelligence committee, but I decided he was sending a message to the Establishment Repubs (especially Ryan.)
They may fear taking on the role of leader or, more likely, they may know that if they ever solve the problems they claim to wish to solve they lose the power they've garnered.
