Social media erupted on Saturday after a CNN analyst and former Homeland Security official said that sources have told her that former national security adviser Michael Flynn may have struck a deal of some sort with the FBI.
“It is starting to look like, from my sources and then also from open reporting, that Mike Flynn is the one who may have a deal with the FBI and that’s why we have not heard from him for some time,” Juliette Kayyem, an assistant secretary for intergovernmental affairs in the Obama administration, said in a panel discussion on Friday night.
Kayyem noted that of the four former Trump advisers who are said to be subjects in an FBI investigation of potential ties to the Russian government, Flynn is the only one who has not volunteered to testify to Congress. The other three advisers, Paul Manafort, Carter Page, and Roger Stone, offered to testify earlier this week.

I would think that Flynn’s lawyer has told him to lay low so as not to jeopardize any pending civil suit.

For years, the Democrats, and the Republicans for that matter, took MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS from foreign governments and not a whisper from the press. Trump, who took no money for anyone, gets an anal exam.
My eyebrow went up when Trump turned loose of Flynn so easily on pretty thin assertions. Trump simply does not do things frivolously or unconsidered. His perceptions are not molded in standard DC or Northeast patterns, though, so his calculated reactions are unfathomable to the regular pols and the oligarchy. They will be caught wrong footed every time.
It is a typical Democrat manufactured scandal. Every election there are big noisy scandals that break down to he wore the wrong tie for that shirt or he has been caught eating bacon and eggs for breakfast. The scandal is entirely in the assertion that it is a scandal. It is trumpeted on the tube and in the NYT and WaPo until it is generally accepted by the DC crowd, including the Republicans who, one by one, decry or apologize for eating bacon and eggs for breakfast or wearing the wrong tie, and “distancing themselves” from the proclaimed miscreant.
