Founder of Infowars and conspiracy-peddling media personality Alex Jones apologized for his role in spreading the baseless viral theory that claimed Hillary Clinton and other Democratic leaders were involved in a child sex trafficking ring run out of a Washington, D.C., pizzeria.
Jones on Friday shared a six-minute video on his website in which he distanced himself from the “Pizzagate” theory that emerged after Wikileaks dumped the emails of Clinton Campaign chair John Podesta.
The story, he said, “was based upon what we now believe was an incorrect narrative.”

Jones did not come up with this theory. It was all over the Internet first. Big sites like Reddit, Twitter, and God Like Productions were all over it.
You blaming Jones for talking about a viral story on the Internet is like blaming Limbaugh for talking about it.

For the record, Alex almost immediately stopped “Comet Pizza” from as soon as it came out.
Think on Day Two Alex was saying I’m not convinced by this and see it as a distraction from Podesta’s and Hillary’s emails?
It was two of Alex staffers that were pushing it that are no longer with Infowars.
I even saw the Comet Pizzastory more on web sites like Free Republic.
