Usually youll see a video with a bunch of cops, and theyll all start shooting simultaneously when the suspect does this or that.
How come the other officers with their guns trained on Crutcher didnt think it was a shoot now situation?
Women are more apt to shoot because they are mostly smaller than the characters thye face. When My daughter and I were pulled, basically for having an out of town tag off the I-State in Tampa, the officer was a women no taller than my 5 foot daughter and she had her hand on her gun the whole time. Her partner, a large man hung back and let her “take care of it.” When daughter had an asthma attack from the stress the woman got flustered and threatened to cuff her and put her in the back of the cruiser until the man stepped in and asked if we needed an EMT and essentially told the woman to stand down.
She was alone in the original altercation and everyone else showed up from her ‘officer needs assistance’ call guns and tasers drawn. There is a police chopper video of this IIRC. There was an exchange between her and the driver and they ended up on the passenger side of her cruiser, her gun drawn and shouting at him and him not complying with her commands. Then he turns and starts to walk back to his car and when the cavalry gets there he is at the drivers door. Her, another cop have guns drawn on him, one cop has a tazer. He starts fiddling around with the door of the van, cop yells “TAZER” and fires and when he did, so did she.
She screams over the radio in a paniced voice “SHOTS FIRED”! On the full video you can see the officer beside her “back her out” of the situation.
