Or the Lithuanians in the later 1920s escaping the Russians..... They got off a ship with almost nothing and got to work. Worked hard, learned the language, obeyed the law, went to church, were good and productive Americans. And were very thankful for the opportunity, not whiners, not one bit.I think you are on to something there.
Islamic work ethic and Christian work ethics are vastly different.

If they got of in the 1920’s, their sons joined the military or were ashamed they were not accepted. That alone is a huge difference from the current system. Military service inculcates patriotism and ending the conscription means that new immigrant sons, by and large, will not serve. The will love the country in the same way Julian Castro or Charlie Schumer love America; not at all.
