President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was disappointed that a conservative faction in the House of Representatives blocked his healthcare legislation and said "we learned a lot about loyalty" from the effort.
Speaking in the Oval Office after a stunning political setback, Trump said the healthcare effort was a victim of stalwart Democratic opposition and any future healthcare legislation would likely need Democratic support.
He also said he was surprised and disappointed by the opposition from the House Freedom Caucus, a group of conservatives who prevented Republicans from using their majority in the House to pass the legislation.
Asked if he felt betrayed by the Freedom Caucus, Trump said he did not.

These dumbasses have to be dealt with all they can do is figure out idiotic ways to lose. They sided with the Democrats and cost Trump momentum. What a bunch of clowns. Now Trump knows WHO he has to campaign against in 2018.
Fake News.
The quotes in the story of Trump do not match the headline. I will have to call this one fake news.
Let’s get serious, the traitor was Paul Ryan and the GOPe “leadership.” Ryancare, if passed had the ability to completely sink the Trump Administration. Actually, not taking the vote was not good in that it “masked” those who we really need to primary.
The Ass. Press this afternoon said that it was the “moderate” GOOBs who were going to stop it. The “media” and their polls are totally clueless.
These dumbasses saved us from Obamacare 2.0. This bill was written by the insurance industry and should have never been supported by Trump
I’m not unhappy with the Freedom Caucus, and I am a person who wanted the bill to pass.
I’m not going to be mad at people who say hey we can’t do this, because this is not what we said we would do.
That’s what I would do. I keep my word. Honesty is important to me.
The person who failed is the person who crafted the bill without allowing input from others, and that person is Ryan.
He could not create legislation that his people would support, and by behaving arrogantly as he did, he failed and made fools of the House.
He’s got to go.
While it doesn’t necessarily change the outcome, I think that our response really should have in mind what their intent in voting against the bill would be.
The HFC, from what I say, contains a certain number of never-Trumpers. Were they actually trying to be conservative and do the right thing? Or were they just being spiteful? Or were they bribed?
I wasn’t impressed with how they reacted over these last few weeks; they didn’t act like people who wanted to repeal Obamacare at all.
Sure is. I heard his comments live, and this doesn’t come close to what he said.
Hes got to go.
***
Agreed.
In my case, how I view the HFC depends on whether they intended to be spiteful or whether they really were trying to do the right thing, even if they may or may not have been mistaken.
Here’s a suggestion to DC
Repeal Obamacare.
Forget replacing it.
HAHAHAHHHAHA.... Tell me something.... Do you think Paul Ryan will be speaker in the near future? Rumor has it that Trey Gowdy will be speaker because of ryans failure. Trump place 9 level chess. If Ryan is kicked to the curb and trey is in, would that be a loss or a huge win for Trump?
It’s what got the GOP so many seats the last six years, and one of the things that got DJT the presidency along with illegals...REPEALING OBAMACARE. Yet none of these suits have the balls to do it.
pffffffffff
The people who did not want to repeal Obamacare are the ones who crafted this crap sandwich which preserved most of it.
I hope Trump was really against it, and now Ryan will be ousted.
The media never gets Bannon..the real architect behind Trump. He gets it.
al-Reuter, fake news par excellence.
“These dumbasses have to be dealt with all they can do is figure out idiotic ways to lose. They sided with the Democrats and cost Trump momentum. What a bunch of clowns. Now Trump knows WHO he has to campaign against in 2018.”
I agree. I am farther to the right on the political spectrum than anyone on this forum but one thing I have always admired about the Democrats is they always stick together. The Republicans never do. It’s exhausting.
I guarantee you we will be re-electing Dave Brat in 2018.
Well,Here's an old song I like,
