I have had many Canadians argue with me saying that they have free speech but they do not.
There actually was free speech in the Soviet Union, as well.
The problem is whether there is freedom AFTER the speech!

Exactly! One could stand before the gates of the Kremlin and freely denounce any aspect of the government, culture or foreign policy of...the United States!;)
