READ THIS> TRump wins either way. The losers here are the R’s(Ryan), pass or fail, and the D’s if it fails and here’s why. Trump wins either way. This bill is not what R’s promised, so passing it hurts R’s and if it fails also hurts R’s because they promised for 8 years to fully repeal it. Actually helps D’s if it passes cause now they have a political tool and can blame the R’s for the disaster which is healthcare and this bill is Obamacare without the IRS. If it fails hurts the Dems because their still responsible for the Ocare disaster. Trump has the bully pulpit and if necessary can bash the R’s, (he doesn’t need the job)for being ungovernable, he holds all the card. The best outcome to get tax/infrastructure/immigration done is if this loses, R,s will then be pressured to show some success. AND TO BE HONEST TOO MANY CITIZENS AND POL’S HAVE IN SOMEWAY EMBRACED THE IDEA THAT FREE HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT. Not going back.
What if he’s issuing this ultimatum for a vote today so this monstrosity WILL fail and then he can implement one that is the real deal? Just a thought I had....
VOTE NO
I know Trump plays 4-D chess and is 20 paces ahead of us at all times and sees the future and so forth.
But how can a piece of legislation pass if no one in the party has any real sense what the leader of the party wants.
What does President Trump want out of this bill? Does he want it to pass? Is he playing everyone? Is that ad on Hannity’s show yesterday where Trump is urging us to call Congress a lie?
This is part of the problem with President Trump’s habit of saying pretty much anything at everytime. Obamacare is a disaster. It must be repealed. But we are going to cover everyone. And it’s going to be cheaper and better. And he will not let people die in the street. And we aren’t raising taxes. And we aren’t getting rid of the rules on pre-existing conditions and lifetime maxes and the ability to cover children until they are 26.
This is almost the definition of a promising a law against bad weather....and then asking Paul Ryan to write the damn thing.
And here we are.
I’m a healthcare attorney who specializes in reimbursement. It’s my job to know what this stuff is.
At this moment, a law could be passed in, I dunno, 8 hours.
I’ve never seen it.
I don’t know what it says in theory.
I don’t know if it should be passed or not.
I don’t know if the president really wants it passed or not.
This is a complete mess.
DO IT!!!
This bill is dead. Spicer is telling the media now that Ryan told Trump the votes are not there.
These people are so stupid. They have one chance to repeal this thing. ONE. It’ll drag out until the mid-terms when enough people that are sick of Trump will come out to vote and turn the tide in one or both of the houses of Congress. Then we’ll forever be stuck with Obamacare.
Trump throw away his mandate on this bag of s***. Mindless stupidity.
My take: A NO vote is a victory for moderates and will force Trump to form some kind of different coalition to get his agenda through. He won’t be burned twice. If the Freedom Caucus doesn’t think they were pulled in early enough on this, just wait and see what happens going forward if the vote goes NO today. They may as well caucus at the North Pole.
Hannity hates it. Michelle Maulkin hate it. Conservative media seems to hate it.
Why does Trump want to pass something so hated so badly?
Repealing Obamacare should have been a layup for the GOP. Instead, Ryan throws up a 75 ft. triple bank shot turd.
I hope President Trump learned a lesson. Republicans in DC don’t know how to lead or how to win.
Trump was really stupid to try to do healthcare like this.
here’s some food for thought: just a few weeks ago President Trump said HIS timeline for obamacare replace and repeal was late 2017 or early 2018.
This was well before there was any hint of the existence of Paul Ryan’s RyanCare bill.
I think Trump was letting Paul Ryan have enough rope to hang himself.
