Republican congressional investigators expect a potential smoking gun establishing that the Obama administration spied on the Trump transition team, and possibly the president-elect himself, will be produced to the House Intelligence Committee this week, a source told Fox News.
Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretappedhim in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.
The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.
The key to that conclusion is the unmasking of selected U.S. persons whose names appeared in the intelligence, the sources said, adding that the paper trail leaves no other plausible purpose for the unmasking other than to damage the incoming Trump administration.
The FBI hasnt been responsive to the House Intelligence Committees request for documents, but the National Security Agency is expected to produce documents to the committee by Friday. The NSA document production is expected to produce more intelligence than Nunes has so far seen or described including what one source described as a potential smoking gun establishing the spying.
Some time will be needed to properly assess the materials, with the likely result being that congressional investigators and attorneys wont have a solid handle on the contents of the documents and their implications until next week.

I hear Kenya is really nice this time of year. :)
I sure hope that Atty General Sessions is doing a lot behind the scenes and preparing to open a big can of whoopass, because so far he seems AWOL on all the big issues faced by the Trump admin. I know he hasn’t had that many weeks in office, but he needs to formulate a large, aggressive agenda on getting the ‘Rats cleaned out and fumigated.
The Dems would be leaked that info if he did, and they would cry foul, Sessions has to go, etc.
The media will bury it.
Me too! He is VERY credible and has good sources.
No I think Trump is about to squander the greatest victory for the republic in my lifetime by continuing to push RyanCare.
We had all those Super Secret, Super Genius plans we could handle under GW.
"Adam, how stupid are you? Can't you figure it out? Cong Nunes doesn't trust you guys."
Try zahipedia.com. They have FOX streaming live. I use it all the time.
Shifty Schiff, third generation commie, is gonna have his clock cleaned.
Thank you, I will try that... ^5
Wanna bet?
He should not have recused himself. No matter if his ethicists advised him to; his oath to protect the nation from enemies foreign and domestic overrides any other statute if it contradicts it.
re: Att. Gen Sessions appearing AWOL
Remember Sessions did recuse himself from anything to do with the Trump campaign. While this is not the campaign the Left will construe it as such saying “well, it is pre Trump taking office” or some such crap.
Loving it.
What about his deputy taking over?
Sure.
These hacks ain’t Hillary
And Jeff Sessions, not Lynch runs Justice now.
NSA smoking gun bump for later....
It should be produced to the president and to the American people, not just to this "committee".
