The Washington Post's Bob Woodward warned on Wednesday that there are people from the Obama administration who could be facing criminal charges for unmasking the names of Trump transition team members from surveillance of foreign officials.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said earlier that he had briefed Trump on new information, unrelated to an investigation into Russian activities, that suggested that several members of Trump's transition team and perhaps Trump himself had their identities "unmasked" after their communications were intercepted by U.S. intelligence officials.
The revelation is notable because identities of Americans are generally supposed to remain "masked" if American communications are swept up during surveillance of foreign individuals. During an interview on Fox News, Woodward said that if that information about the unmasking is true, "it is a gross violation."

Woodward is a sorry POS and what he says here doesn’t chance that fact..
Think of the con if Hillary was elected. The world would have been his oyster from all the blackmail material he would be holding.
Woodward’s just now figured this out? Or now that the evidence is being laid bare, he wants to look like he’s breaking this story.
Woodward is one of the favorite operatives of one of those factions. While in the Navy he served in Naval Intelligence, he was considered solid enough to go after Nixon and in doing so deflect attention from the active hand some CIA people had in aiding Nixon, and he's been a useful hatchet man for the in crowd on several occasions.
He's doing two things here. First, he's letting it be known that there are people with power who won't stand in the way of criminal charges being brought, and second, since that's possible (how probable? Dunno) he's giving fair warning to those so rabid in their hate of Trump that they've gotten sloppy that it's time to start covering their butts and choosing scapegoats instead of continuing their open attacks.

The point is that a liberal icon who made is bones at watergate has said it.

They don’t face jack. Empirical evidence shows that, aside from a statistical outliers or two, Obama’s henchmen and dems in general are immune from the law.

Woodward is an intelligence community agent of influence trying to pretend that invasions of American citizen’s privacy are illegal and rare.
They are neither.
Nunes has stated this surveillance thing has “nothing to do with Russia.”
Therefore, Sessions is not recused from it.

Agreed, but so what? No one can accuse Woodward of being a conservative, so there's some hope he'll be listened to. We should be grateful Woodward is right on this, regardless of his history or motives.
