In everything but name, Trump is settling in as what appears to be a full-time staffer in her father’s administration, with a broad and growing portfolio — except she is not being sworn in, will hold no official position and is not pocketing a salary, her attorney said.
Trump’s role, according to her attorney Jamie Gorelick, will be to serve as the president’s “eyes and ears” while providing broad-ranging advice, not just limited to women’s empowerment issues. Last week, for instance, Trump raised eyebrows when she was seated next to Angela Merkel for the German chancellor’s first official visit to Trump’s White House.

An office in West a Wing? Security clearance?? This has GOT to stop. We are in perilous times. We are basically at war. I believe Ivanka is being set up to be used for grounds for impeachment of the President ( nepotism). I do NOT trust Gorelick and do notwant her two degrees from our President! Get them OUT of Whitehouse. Don’t know what Trump is thinking !

I was always leery of Ivanka and her claims of the "power" she holds over her father; not to mention the fact that though she has always been more or less apolitical, knows nothing about politics, and wasn't intelligent enough to change her registration, so that she could vote for her father in the primary, she holds/tries to hold sway over some things she wants him to do.

Neither am I impressed by her husband, since finding out about his family's political and personal ties.

Now this damned Gorelick crap!

Obviously, I had credited the president with more political astuteness/acumen, than he deserved.

If the Kushners did the deals ( Jared used her too ) sans Trump's knowledge; that's their fault. OTOH....he SHOULD have known about it by now and that he hasn't made them fire her, is his fault...BIG LEAGUE; which is NOT just a "minor flaw"!

No....he can't be impeached over the nepotism thing; that has supposedly been wrangled out. But I don't want Ivanka ( especially since she is his "favorite child" and gets away with everything she wants ) or husband within 100s of miles of D.C. and I want Gorerlick FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
