Dem. Governor Gray Davis was awful and we in California mounted a recall election to get rid of him.
To this day, I regret voting for the “Terminator”...who ran as a tough guy Repub and governed as a worse Dem than the Dem we ousted.
SERIOUS buyer’s remorse....in real life, the only thing he did was talk tough. He governed like PeeWee Herman, total wimp and Dem suckup.
Arnold....stick to the movies where you can be successful in being a tough guy....real life you failed miserably....more Dem, more anti-gun than the Dem.

I had to talk my brother out of voting for Arnold. I knew the recall was the only chance for California to have a truly conservative governor because it only required a plurality to win the recall. He was as starry-eyed as anyone else when it came to Arnold. I knew Arnold would be slightly left-of-center at best, but it seemed like he assumed that everyone would go along with his ideas just because he was Arnold, and then he ran into the unholy nastiness that is political interest groups in Cali and he just gave up.

I am glad to be able to say that I voted for Tom McClintock. He didn't have much of a chance when Arnold started acting like he wanted to be Conan the Republican Governor.
