Wait. Just wait. I can already think of TWO solutions.
1. Ram an amendment through the “proper” committee and attach that to the bill.
2. Get the Senate to commit to putting it in their version of the bill. Adopt that provision in the joint Conference Committee.
There are ways to fix this snafu.

The o ly problem is-—and I don’t think any of us here know-—they may have archane rules as to what amendment you can attach to a reconciliation bill.

Why "Wait. Just wait" ? I'm tired of the don't worry that it's crap, they'll fix it spiel. How about we just not settle for half a$$ed anymore? The hell with this fix it in three stages with all the real fixes set off until stage three and requiring enough demonrat votes that will never happen to pass.
