I had a catastrophic policy with high deductible that was affordable, but covered unforeseen accidents or disease. Then I had to get a policy that covered things I won’t need, so the premium skyrockets and to add insult to injury, the deductible was still high! Scott Pruitt, Rand Paul, and many others have talked about this also, but Ryan didn’t want to take it out. I think this is one of the reasons they aren’t having the vote today. This very problem was discussed at the press conference too. If the government wants to offer this premium insurance to everyone, just have options, and if some poor people can’t afford them, give them assistance if that’s what they think they need to do. I think it would be cheaper for taxpayers and fairer for everyone.
When did you get this policy and when did you lose it?

Are you sure this "new" policy is not mandated to have "guaranteed issue"? (pre-existing conditions coverage)
