Pharmacists and doctors are the number one leading cause of opiate addiction. The drug dealers just reap the rewards of the health industry handing out narcotics like they are candy.
Among many other injuries i broke my collarbone during a dirt bike accident.
When i complained to the doctor about the pain i was feeling while trying to sleep at night he prescribed me a big bottle of morphine pills.....just like that.
I mentioned my concern about getting addicted and the doc told me that if i do not WANT to get addicted i won’t.
No generic stuff a BIG bottle of morphine pills.
Still sitting in the closet 6-7 years later, i took like 4 of them.
JCHAO, the Feds and “ patient satisfaction scores” had a big part in it. They twisted our arms to treat pain aggressively. Lots of us warned them. The clipboards and the managers knew better.

The majority of addicts that I deal with, daily, don’t have doctors at all. You aren’t wrong about overprescription, but it isn’t the actual cause.
How are pharmacists the cause of opiate addiction?
