Wonder what plans they have for all the tunnels that currently exist which connect Mexico and the U.S.
Spending available money on a wall might mean less for the manned border crossings. During rush hour when many thousands of people are crossing at the same time, how can the under-manned officials possibly spend the time to separate those with legit papers and those with “rented” papers?
Few people cross in the desert and tunnels. They make for great Hollywood movies. Not much else. The big volume of illegal Hispanics enters on 1) valid tourist, student and other visas that expire and 2) rented valid papers that are rented for the half-hour of the crossing and then returned to the family business that lent them the papers.
The whole wall discussion displays an amazing ignorance of reality. Trump promised it to get votes and it worked.
