No this stopped the Russia bs dead in its tracks. And based on all I read, it still appears there was surveillance of Trump personnel, including after the election.
I disagree completely. Had Trump not done this, the MSM would be running unopposed with the "Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election" narrative.
His remarks at least open the discussion up a but further, so now at least we can ask "On what evidence do you base this theory on?". It also creates some motivation to dig a little deeper into the agencies who may be leaking this phony narrative.
It may take some time to put a proper case together on all this, but I think it will happen.

You forget that the President CAN'T reveal "evidence" that reveals classified information or clandestine sources and methods. What Trump CAN do is continue to quote the media back at them, which is what he's doing, with absolute confidence in his assessment, while he lets the investigation proceed.

So they thought they had him in a pincer - they KNOW he has the evidence, and they ALSO KNOW he can't say what it is.
So he is on solid ground by quoting public sources. Which is what he is doing.
