I have seen no evidence of this except for this Tweet from NBC. Until I see a reliable source this is nothing more than BS.

Trump isn’t playing 3 dimensional chess, this isn’t an opening gambit in a negotiation, he hasn’t been hoodwinked, he isn’t misinformed. If you believe any of the foregoing welcome to cognitive dissonance (see Scott Adams). Trump said early and often people should have health care and that he liked Ocare’s exclusion of “prexisitng clauses”. In essence this bill is Trumps baby and you can simply take him at his word when he says he supports it.

Not what he said to Tucker, he said he wouldn’t sign it if it ended up being bad.

He’s 100% behind the process, negotiations on the bill aren’t done yet.

It is my understanding that congressional members have their own insurance for health coverage. If so, I would like for a key component of the health care plan to be the coverage of all govt workers, elected or employed, to be the same as for all other tax payers. There is no reason or excuse that I know of for separate treatment of selected groups for health care polices. In particular, congress should be subject to the regulations they pass for other citizens to abide by. No exemptions for Congress.

It is true that medical costs are way too high. Highest in the World. But we are a capitalist society and medical costs are decided by those willing to pay for them. I like the tax credits on buying insurance because it lowers everyones taxes which should be a goal for conservatives to embrace. It used to be that way but conservatives have gone towards liberalism moreso in the past years.

Using medical insurance to give taxpayers a deduction on taxes is the best way possible. We need our taxes down down down.

I work for a Japanese-owned company with Japanese nationals in stateside management. They actually return to Japan for any sort of major medical procedure because it’s cheaper even with the airfare, not to mention better care. Or, at least that’s what they say and I believe them. Pitiful.

The plan is still in the meat grinder. I am waiting on the final version.

So true. I know a lot of people go to Thailand to get operations. Can you believe it???? Our health care is way to expensive but again Capitalism allows for it. We really can’t do anything unless people stop going to doctors.

It has been said that the hallmark of a good bargain is that both parties walk away a little unhappy.
Repeal Obamacare in toto. Agree to some things the `rats want: but no mandate! No penalties! No IRS involvement.
Once we get something we can accept in place, agency heads are instructed to ignore the BS parts.
Tie them up in court. (For a change)

Obama killed health insurance for working people. Trump is many things but even he would not be able to bring insurance back from the dead.

Eliminating the mandate and tax penalties is actually a huge step in the right direction.

Meanwhile Trump will continue to try and dismantle as many of Ocare hurdles as he can do through the regulatory process.
