I despise the man bashing that is in every tv comedy these days...

I was watching a cop show on TV a couple of decades ago (I dumped TV in ‘97 so it was before that). The three main characters were a male cop, a female cop and a bad guy they were trying to capture.

I noticed about 2/3 of the way in that both of the cops had the personality/manerisms/perspective of a typical female, and the bad guy was classic male.

It made the rest of the show almost unwatchable because it was so obvious. It was basically two female cops, one played by a male, trying to track down an enemy, and you were being conditioned to despise him because he basically acted male.

I started noticing a lot of it on other shows after that.

It was clear that they were actually on a crusade to give the impression that male attributes are a thing to be avoided in your personality. And now we have pajama boy.

It’s one of the reasons I dumped TV.

I kept my tv but I dumped modern comedy shows. The husband / father is always lazy and selfish and fat. He is a ball of estrogen in a lazy boy, basically, and given some supposedly funny lines to say. The wife / mother is always thin, smart, and clever.

Women want to see men with passions and drives (not only a sex drive but that too). I’m sure the bad guy in the show you saw had motivations and was attempting to achieve them!
