A heroic security guard has been caught on camera shooting a bank robber dead after the criminal threatened customers and tellers with a gun.
Serial armed robber Laurence Turner, 34, walked into Alpine Bank in Rockford, Illinois, armed with a gun and wearing a ski mask.
As he pointed his pistol at staff behind the counter, Brian Harrison whipped out his gun and shot the criminal dead - all of which was caught on security footage.

One bright morning in the middle of the night.....
Always one to be curious about the choices of firearms, I can see that our good guy has what appears to be a full size semiauto.
I'm gonna say it's a Glock... no way of knowing what caliber, although I'd like to find out it's a .45 auto. Maybe it doesn't matter...
And yes, he went from 0 to 60 in a flash. Hats off to him, and also to the bank employees who all had the good sense, probably due to training, to either scram out a bank door or get down.

...and that’s why you keep a round chambered.
It’s called “piling on” and is illegal! 8-p
What? He couldn’t have just winged him or shot the gun out of his hand?
With today’s ammo prices, I’m surprised he would shoot, legal or not. As much as I despise criminals, I’m not willing to waste even one shot on a dead bank robber.
That took a lot of courage for the security guard to look around the corner of the counter after the first shots. He was exposing his head to robber.
In a security guard position—exactly!
It says 'Put all your money in the bag. I have a gub.' What's a gub?
FACT.
Older folks simply don't worry much about the consequences. Old age ain't for sissies.
I was responding to the headline.
Good thing he wasn’t just a security monitor.
After the perp collapses in the middle of the doorway, the security guard follows, whips out the cuffs and starts to slap them on the soon-to-be dead guy. The security guard sure didn’t lose his law enforcement instincts just because he had retired from the county sheriff’s office.
So this happened on Inauguration Day..........
wondering if it was before or after Trump took office...........
Thanks to the would-be robber and the security guard for your contributions to efforts to “Make America Great Again”
no sarcasm
And done one-handed.
It's encouraged.
The shot in the chest is for shooting at the guard. The shot in the butt is for stealing his mother’s car.
