I’ve heard that liberals just in general, give less to charity than do conservatives.

And the reason for this is — liberals believe that the government should be doing all the charity care in this country. Plus, some atheistic or other liberals, who are antagonistic to religion in general, are offended at the clear religious orientation of some charities such as the Salvation Army.

I think this speaks to my belief that their push for the government to help the poor via dollars forced from wage earners via the power of the gun is actually a form of projection.

That is, they know that THEY don’t do it voluntarily so, therefore, NOBODY does it voluntarily, which means, to protect them from the wrath of the starving, everyone must be FORCED to help them.
