They were great good fun as kids!

Used to hang with some filmmaker-artsy types years ago, would have impromptu showings in old warehouse/art studios of any films they could get their hands on. So you’d have the theatre experience with a laid back setting.

Haven’t been to a “real” theater in decades.

That sounds like great fun! I remember my mother always ordered a fried shrimp and vegetable egg-roll type of appetizer that she would allow me to sample. We were supposed to be asleep after the first movie, but I always pretended and watched both movies. It was wonderful.

My siblings and I would be in the back seat like a pig-pile of puppies.
