People say that if we end the filibuster rule that when the dems get back in power they'll have a clear path to ram through their agenda. I believe that if they retake control of the Senate killing the filibuster will be number one on their agenda. And THEN they'll ram through their agenda. Kill it now and at least then we'll see some advantage.
The filibuster needs to be killed. It's about damn time we do something that will actually make midterm elections meaningful because every midterm win we've had since the Reagan era has meant absolutely nothing.
So get rid of the rule, pass all the important stuff, then pass a LAW requiring 60 votes for cloture. or better yet, an amendment.
