That prohibits any law setting the voting age above 18. It does not prohibit any laws which allow those under the age of 18 to vote.
Not entirely true...there are quite a number of House districts where Republicans are in fact elected that could be flipped in California.
The word abridged means it may not be changed or altered
Yes it does...the term abridged in LS is a term of art.
Constitutional issues mainly, the constitution sets the age limit and the wording includes...”the states”. The Supreme court would have declare that the wording doesn’t preclude voters younger than 18.
The Democrats once again show their lack of vision. Lowering the age to -1/2 would allow aborted babies to vote by proxy (much like the dead do now) and generate a whole new Democrat voting block.
Lowering the age much further would start to bring questions that the fetus was actually a person which could get messy for them.
Well, it goes beyond tax payments for me.
What I want is someone who actually has to face a home budget each month. People having to face that reality are generally more capable of grasping the Conservative message.
When it’s your future on the line, you suddenly don’t like taxation. You don’t like government mandates/regulations. You want freedom to thrive.
That is counter to the Leftist mantra.
Thanks for the note of recognition. I appreciate it.
Fine, if they can vote, drink booze, enlist in the military, get married, get off their parents health care, etc....if you want to be grown up....grow up.
