Yeah, there are a lot of FReepers who haven't a clue about the state of California. Most of them have never been there and don't know that the owner of this blog is a CA resident.
Furthermore, They assume everyone here is either a lib or an illegal when in reality, 2/3 of the state is red.

Lived in CA and Love the natural beauty as your Excellent photos indicate.
Could no longer tolerate idiotic liberals / gov’t, super high cost of living, and Traffic.
CA is no longer the Golden state.

I have good friends in the Turlock/Merced area who are solidly republican.
That said don't feel alone. Everyone also tends to think that all of Michigan is Detroit.
