About 45 years ago, we got held up at the border for an hour or so because we had a Russian in the car with us (those dang Russians have been causing trouble for a long time!). When we were students in Ann Arbor, we'd get vacation tour packages that flew out of Windsor, Ont. On one trip, we made friends with another U of M couple who asked if they could ride back with us. Didn't think anything of it. Then at the border crossing, they asked each of us where we were born. When the guy said he was born in Russia, we were pulled over.
Stuff like that happens. When people were complaining about the people who got held up at customs in Trump's first vetting rollout, I thought, for the most part, it was much ado about nothing because I've been held up for hours at customs when there's no problem except huge lines.
