I’ll do some checking re: bees. We had 3 all within 1/2 mile of my parents home. Semi rural area still w/national park all around.
Those three parties all elderly & moved the past decade.
When My parents first moved in there were only about 2000 in township. Cyrus Eaton and the Marshall Estates both were developed. HUGE acreage farms/land and now it is more burbish... still much rural and most lots are at least an acre but some of the old fashioned GOOD things of having chickens, bees etc is now gone
Contact your county extension agent office or the Agriculture dept. at a nearby college. Do a search and call a couple of 4-H clubs. It’d be fun and helpful to purchase honey or eggs from a 4-H kid.
