Took a multi-country vacation in 1990 and enjoyed it although Paris was a bit snooty. Since then I’ve only briefly visited, taking quick cruise line tours. From what I’ve seen my desire for an extended land stay is diminished. Conversely, I’ve been considering a U.K. trip when funds permit as a way of showing support for Brexit.

I’ve found that European nations are much more pleasant outside the major cities. France and the French are awesome outside Paris. The largest city I experienced in Germany was Trier.

England is the same. Go to where the real people are. They’re in the countryside. You’ll get snooted in London.

My daughter is in England right now. She was a student at a Bible school there. Last month the government told the school they couldn’t have any more non-EU students, which was over half the student body. I think it’s punishment for the region supporting Brexit.

She completed her classes and is just visiting friends
